Actually it’s probably less than 10% but we’ll never know exactly.
The problem with most science is that it is based on these ideas that we consider false:
- that one can only be sure of facts that are measurable
- that one can measure everything with existing equipment
- that one can only be sure of facts that are repeatable
- that ultimate truth exists
- that material and spirit are two different things
- that one gets objective, genuine results from industry sponsored research
- that something is impossible if it doesn’t fit in known theories
- that one can fool nature without understanding holistic laws
- that making disappear symptoms is curing desease
- that the doctor knows best and the patient be patient, shut their mouth and just obey
- that food should be different from medication
- that using chemicals that are isolated from their natural context will not destroy the body and health

I’ll never forget the argument of a philosopher, called Etienne Vermeersch, in a discussion about metaphysics on a national TV channel. He stated:
It cannot be true because it is impossible.
That is how a lot of scientists think. Isn’t this arrogant? It is costing a lot of lives, because therefore many good therapies are banned from hospitals and insurance, while they have proved to work. Read the rest of this entry »
On May 30th 2011, a group of activists destroyed a field with genetically modified potatoes in Belgium. The university of Ghent was testing modified plants with permission of the Belgian government.

A few days later a scientist of another university K.U.L. was fired, just for explaining motives of the action to the press. This triggered a new protest action and petition against these university measures.
One can ask the question though if this is the best way to try to stop GMO experiments, because the university now has decided to go on and to even take measurements for doing these experiments in secret in the future. Of course some farmers Read the rest of this entry »
This map on the Safecast site is not meant as a replacement for government or nuclear agencies.
Their hope is that data sets from various places can provide additional context to the official statements in these rapidly changing events.
They are open for improvement and for input from anywhere to make their maps more accurate.
We are looking for something similar for the whole world. If you know about a good crowd sourced radiation world map, please let us know in the comments. Thanks.
Although clicking the map doesn’t seem to work at this time, we couldn’t keep this interesting map of Japan radiation levels from you. Blue circles are bigger for more inhabitants, red is more radiation. Purple is unavailable.
This map is for information only, not for safety measures!
Watch the big version of Japan radiation map in a new window.
Realtime radiation data (but NOT UPDATED regularly! – watch the date!) collected via the System for Prediction of Environment Emergency Dose Information(SPEEDI). These results are maximum values made available by local government on the latest updated date and time.
What do you think about the accuracy of these data?

Although this interesting chart made for the rest of us, can seem to be complicated at first sight, you should give it a try. It’s actually very easy to understand. Just start reading on top left at the blue squares, then to the greens on top right and then the red ones. It’s giving us a very good idea of how much radiation is coming from everything, from a banana to a nuclear reactor meltdown. Thanks to Randall Munroe & co, this can serve the health of humanity.
This radiation dose chart is for general education use only, not for safety procedures!
The picture is in the public domain, so you can republish it without restriction.
Wishing all the best and strong health to the people of Japan

Aspartame (brands: Nutrasweet®, Aminosweet®) or neotame? Several names for artificial sweeteners, but what difference does the name make, since they are all based on the same aspartic acid. Some are even more poisonous than others though.
But after so many bad reports about neurotoxic and immunotoxic health problems with aspartame (E951), they needed another name. Well, Neotame (E961) appears to be even more toxic because it’s “enhanced aspartame”. We can think that easily because it’s between 7.000 and 13.000 times sweeter than table sugar. My sweetness. Sounds healthy? Moreover, the problem with reports is that they are mostly funded by the industry and in case of negative results, funds are often retracted.
Neotame is also used (as Sweetos) to camouflage the taste of “less fresh” animal food, so that cattle is eating it nevertheless. Read the rest of this entry »
Olivier De Schutter, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, found out that the best way to solve global hunger is the agroecological approach.
That means agroforestry, mixed crop-livestock, biological pest control, intercropping, etc.
This is totally against the domination of food production by Monsanto and the likes, who are trying to force agriculture using their GMO seeds (claimed as intellectual property) and having about 50% of this market in their pocket already.
As Olivier De Schutter sees it, on the long run, agroecological farming techniques outperform modern mass production farming schemes, which are about genetically improved seeds, chemical fertilizers and extended use of machinery.
He brings together scientists, policymakers and farmers organizations to figure recommendations to the Committee on World Food Security.
How to get a HPV vaccination score from ± 40 % coverage to ± 90 % of the twelve year old girls? Make it free and bring it to the schools. This is what is being announced in Flanders, the North part of Belgium. While there are a lot of adverse reports on the long term risks and even those immediately after vaccination. From Guillian-Barre-syndrome and loss of consciousness to permanent disability. It’s all there. But as always, no questions asked and focus is on the battle against cervical cancer instead of how to be healthy without pharmaceuticals.
Let’s hope parents inform themselves seriously before they act as the big pharma industry dictates.
A must see documentary from ITV about proof of poisoning amalgam dental fillings.
This is good journalism. Thanks ITV. How is it possible that millions of people get this poison into their mouth? Poison? Yes. Amalgam fillings are about 50% mercury, which is one of the most poisonous things in the world. You can’t put mercury into the environment, but you can put it in your mouth? What a world. In some countries it is perfectly legal, while in other countries (Sweden, …) amalgam fillings are completely banned. Not everyone gets problems immediately after placement of silver fillings, but how many proof do we need, to know that mercury comes out of the fillings, sooner or later damaging our health? Watch this documentary and make your own conclusions. Read the rest of this entry »

“Twelve hundred years ago the people of Tibet developed a comprehensive medical system. They understood how the mind affects the body. They knew subtle ways of changing the body’s chemistry with medicines made from plants and minerals. They blessed their medicines in lengthy rituals. And they encoded this knowledge in a series of elaborate paintings called thangkas. Blue Buddha: Lost Secrets of Tibetan Medicine traces the odyssey of traditional Tibetan medicine from it’s roots in ancient Tibet, to a worldwide interest in it’s traditional medical wisdom. Ecosia.org is a search engine that makes you save rain forests by just doing your searches. Easy. Even if you don’t believe in the common CO2-climate-link, saving rain forests can only be good, right? We are curious what you think about it. Leave your comments below. Read the rest of this entry »
It is always good to check another voice on climate change, that has a complete opposite picture of global warming – global cooling. This is the other side. Many scientists who disagree with the common idea of CO2-connected global warming and they tell you why.
Let’s never limit ourselves by just looking to the main stream media only. They somehow (advertising money?) rarely mention true critics or opposite points of view.
In Africa, China, India and developing countries, it’s a lot easier to grow GM foods than in Europe, because it is more accepted, although GM foods are not tested well and stories of health problems are numerous. Still, tests with bio ethanol producing GM trees were refused in Belgium and then got accepted in their neighbour country The Netherlands.
In august 2009, the Egyptians surprisingly declared that they would refuse GM food. But then shortly after that, they retracted this bold statement. Why? Read the rest of this entry »
The Belgian National Flu Commissioner and main advisor of the government, professor Marc Van Ranst, was interviewed on national TV station VRT on November 5th in the program “Koppen“. While he declares the swine flu vaccination “as safe as a vaccine can be”, when asked about his own vaccination and his baby’s, his answer is that they are in good health and they leave this stab for the people who need it more. The Belgian government ordered 12.6 million vaccination units, which is more than the number of Belgium’s residents.
Al lot of general practitioners are just refusing the Swine Flu vaccination. And another 29 % were still in doubt, following a survey published in Healthcare Republic.
So we conclude that about half of the doctors may reject Swine flu vaccination. Why? Because they know or they have doubts about the dangers and they know that the vaccines are not tested thoroughly.
A lot has been published about the disastrous effects of ingredients in vaccines. Read the rest of this entry »
Here we have a leaflet from the Fluzone® vaccine. What do you think of these ingredients? Some dosage forms contain thimerosal. Thimerosal contains mercury, right? And mercury is a super poison, right?
